                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 400
                   BLOCK OF ORCHARD KNOB AVENUE, BEING ON THE
                   NORTHWEST LINE OF ORCHARD KNOB AVENUE AT
                   GARFIELD AVENUE FROM R-3 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO
                   C-5 NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, SUBJECT
                   TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
             
              A tract of land located in the 400 block of Orchard Knob
              Avenue, being on the northwest line of Orchard Knob
              Avenue at Garfield Avenue.  Lots 7-12 and the west 84
              feet of lots 13-18, block 1, Olsen's Subdivision, as
              shown by plat of record in plat book 5, page 45,
              R.O.H.C., the deed to said property being recorded in
              deed book 3664, page 511, R.O.H.C.  Tax Map No. 146F-D-6
              and 7.
             
         from R-3 Residential Zone to C-5 Neighborhood Commercial 
District.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
              1.   The use of the property shall be restricted to the
                   following: barber shops, beauty parlors, offices,
                   services, and day care facilities.
             
              2.   All building plans shall be submitted to the
                   Chattanooga Housing Authority Board for review and
                   approval.
             
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this
         Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its
         passage, the public welfare requiring it.
